Understanding contact and company records
The contact record (and the company record) brings together everything you know about a person or an organization: contact details, associated company, custom fields, linked documents and a unified activity history.
The 360° view
Every hub in the suite feeds the record automatically: an email sent from the Marketing hub, a call made from the Telephony hub, an appointment booked, a quote sent, a ticket opened in customer service. There is nothing to re-enter: the record builds itself as your team works.
This timestamped timeline means that, before a call or a meeting, you can see the full context of the relationship at a glance.
Custom fields
Add your own fields (attributes) to match your line of business — beyond standard fields such as name, email or phone. These custom fields are visible in lists and can be used in filters and in segment criteria.
If your business deals with whole entities (properties, cases, contracts, etc.) rather than simple fields, turn to custom objects, which link to contact and company records.
Merging duplicates
When two records refer to the same person or the same company, the duplicate merge tool brings them together without losing history: activities, documents, deals and custom fields from both records are kept on the merged record.
SIREN/SIRET enrichment
On a company record, automatic enrichment fills in the legal name, address, business activity and legal information from the INSEE register, based on the SIREN or SIRET number. This avoids manual entry and makes your company data more reliable.
