Migrate from Odoo
The Odoo migration brings your Odoo CRM into Metaventus. It reads your database without ever changing, sending or deleting anything: your Odoo keeps working normally.
Before you start
Odoo's external API is only available on the Odoo Custom plan or on a self-hosted instance (including Odoo.sh): the One App Free and Standard plans don't allow it. Since Odoo 19, an API key lasts 3 months at most.
Create an Odoo API key
- In Odoo, click your avatar, then My Profile (or Preferences).
- In the Account Security tab, click New API Key, confirm your password, give it a name (for example "Metaventus") and a duration that covers the migration.
- Copy the key: Odoo only shows it once.
Connect Odoo
- In Metaventus, open Migration and choose Odoo.
- Fill in:
- the address of your Odoo (for example
https://mycompany.odoo.com); - your login (often your email), required before Odoo 19;
- the database, only if your server hosts several;
- the API key.
- the address of your Odoo (for example
- Click Validate key: Metaventus checks the connection before saving it, encrypted. Then click Analyze my account.
