Domains and senders
For your campaign emails to reach the inbox — and stay there — Metaventus verifies your sending domain in three layers. This verification is done once per domain, from the Admin Center.
Why deliverability depends on it
Email providers (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) only accept emails into the inbox when the sender is authenticated. An unverified domain exposes your campaigns to being marked as spam, or even rejected outright. The three layers below successively prove that you do own the domain, that your emails have not been forged, and that the sender address is authorized to send.
Layer 1 — TXT verification record
Add a TXT record supplied by Metaventus to the DNS zone of your domain. This record proves that you do control the domain you want to use for your sends.
Layer 2 — DKIM
Then configure the DKIM record supplied, also in your DNS zone. DKIM cryptographically signs your emails when they are sent, which lets email providers verify that they have not been altered in transit and that they really do come from your domain.
Layer 3 — Sender validation by code
Once the domain is verified, validate each sender address individually: a validation code is sent to the address in question, to be entered in Metaventus to confirm that you do control it.
Verify your domain before your first email campaign rather than after a disappointing first send: deliverability is built up front, not repaired afterwards.
