Security and two-factor authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra check at sign-in, on top of the password. We recommend enabling it as a priority for accounts with sensitive access (administrators, billing).
Available methods
- SMS — a one-time code is sent to the account's phone number.
- Authentication application — Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, generating a code at regular intervals.
- Passkeys — a password-free method, based on the user's device (biometrics or unlock code).
Each user enables the method of their choice from their profile, in the Admin Center.
tip
Offer your team several methods: 2FA by application or passkey is more robust than SMS, but SMS remains a simple option to start with.
Sign-in log
A sign-in log keeps a record of access to the account, which makes it possible to spot an unusual sign-in and act quickly if necessary.
SAML/OIDC SSO (Enterprise plan)
Organizations on the Enterprise plan can connect their identity provider through SAML or OIDC SSO, so that sign-ins to Metaventus go through the company directory. Contact our team to set this up.
